bulletWhich Wood is Which?

What sort of finish do your products have on them?

Our Finish

The hand applied proprietary finish has been developed over many years in conjunction with our coatings manufacturers here in the USA.

The term proprietary indicates that the formulation of the finish has been developed for our particular and private use and is a trade secret belonging to our company.

The finish on the bowls is totally inert and has no harmful characteristics nor effects.

We have employed this finish for over 20 years.

It has proven to be a most satisfactory finish to many of our wood products and a history of hundreds of thousands of products having been finished and utilized with this product gives us every confidence that it is safe and efficacious.

Certain of our products have a traditional oil finish and the product page indicates this.

Where does the lumber come from that you make your products with?

Our Lumber

Ash, Yellow Birch, Cherry, Walnut
No sustainability or regeneration problems arise from the harvesting of these species from natural and managed forest resources.

We are very fortunate to have the resources of the North American Appalachian Forests right outside our factory.

Purchasing from long established lumber dealers assures us of the highest legal and ecological standards.
